I believe in a theatre that invites people to tap into the softer part of themselves, the part that they may have left behind on the playground, the part where their imagination lives. After all, what is theater if not the laboratory of imagination? And right now, when I go into that laboratory, I am searching for miracles. That is what I need in this moment, so that is what I write. Stories of miracles. Stories of people who look into the bleakest of swirling vortexes and shout, “Do your worst…and we will do our best.”
